Abdominal Massage

When I first learnt massage, as well as teaching massage courses, the one area that was neglected was a good abdominal massage.  Since this time, I have trained further and have found a massage technique that deals with the tummy on a much deeper level and massaged for a longer period of time, 15 to 20 minutes, sometimes longer, as is effective at releaving bloating and constipation. Your gut health is important to the well-being of your whole body.

Why do I need a health gut?

The digestive system is self-running and self-healing system. Its function is to turn the foods we eat into microscopic particles that the cells can use for energy, maintenance, growth, and repair. It runs from the mouth to the anus. Along the way, the body breaks down food protein into amino acids, starches into glucose, and fats into fatty acids and glycerol. Enzymes, vitamins and minerals are absorbed. If these functions are not maintained then your whole body system will begin to be affected, and health may begin to suffer.(Read Sally’s Blog for further information.

The benefits of tummy massage includes:

Relief from trapped matter (constipation) or gas (bloating).

Reduction from that bloated feeling.

Increased detoxification of the body.

Improved breathing, leading to better relaxation.

Postural health has been noted to improve.

What happens during a treatment?

A gentle oil-based deep tummy massage is given, which allows us to work on the organs in the abdominal area, whereby excess water, muscle spasms or twists and torsions will be gently released, allowing the body’s organs to be replenished with good circulation and boost to the immune system, thus giving the liver, spleen etc, the space to breathe more easily and begin to work more functionality.

How do I book a session?

To ensure the effectiveness of this massage a series of 2 to 6 sessions are strongly advised.
